How many? 4 Front Shocks?

I have a 1991 American Eagle 38J Diesel Pusher.

I am gathering information to replace the shocks. The current shocks are severely covered in rust and I cannot read any of the numbers.

Here is the relevant information about the chassis and axles:

Front Axle: Reyco Air, EFA-12F4, H91-01-00271
Rear Axle: 21065S, H91-04-30913
MAX GVW: 28,000
REAR GAWR: 19,000

After reading many discussions on iRV2, I am considering Koni shocks for replacements.

What is somewhat puzzling me is why the front axle has four (4) shocks.

The rear has two shocks.

Were four (4) shocks on the front axle standard on that model in 1991?

Which Koni's would you recommend?

Thanks for your comments.

Just call Spartan Chassis and give them your VIN number. They can give you part numbers. From there you should be able to use the Koni cross reference.

I haven't had a single shipment from them go timely.
They need to change their name from shockwarehouse to shockonlineordering
Because they don't apparently warehouse much.

Pre-pandemic observation.
