Red Diamond Air Levelling System

Saw the Spartan press release a couple days ago for a Spartan after market air levelling system that can be added to any of their chassis starting with the 2000 model year on coaches without factory air levelling. It’s call Red Diamond.

Does anyone have any more info? I was going to call Spartan tomorrow - wondering if it is a rebranded Valid system or if it was developed in-house by Spartan. Price, install time, what level of Spartan service to do install, is it active air suspension as well, etc.

Heard back from Spartan.

They have a level 1 kit available now, with a level 2 kit under development.

Essentially, the level 1 kit will allow for the manual adjustment of the ride height while in motion and automatic air levelling while parked. It uses the existing ride height control valves in the coach. So you can raise it up to get over a bump or lower it down to get in a garage or something - at low speed.

It will allow for the dumping of air as well as the auto levelling while parked. When air levelling it uses electronic air manifolds like the production units use on some K2’s and K3’s. it does include an onboard air make up compressor if the coach settles while parked and levelled.

Stage 2 kit adds auto levelling while driving to control ride height. It is not an active air type of system that would quickly add air to one side to compensate for a sharp turn, road crown, etc.

Cost is 7,000 and install takes about 2 days almost all on the underside of the coach (except for installation of the control panel. Install can currently only be done at the factory. Price goes up April 1st to 8,000.

There you go!
