another possibilty is the priority valve. This provides flow to your steering and hydraulic fan motor, giving priority to your steering. a spec of dirt can cause problems. It is easy to remove the check, but you must sanatized the area with brake cleaner first. send me your email and I will send you the spartan hydraulic troubleshooting manual. Also, instructions from spartan on how to check the priority valve. It could also, but the hydraulic pump, but the manual says, don't replace pump until you check the priority valve. When you remove the priority valve with a large adjustable wrench. You use something plastic to push against the spool. you also spray brake fluid in it to clean it. I did that when my steering went out and no problem since. A new valve is 45 bucks from spartan. It is mounted in the priority block with the pressure relief valve. This block has a port to screw a pressure guage to check your pump. This block must be cleaned several times, before opening your hydraulic system. So guys has shops work on the thier hydraulic system, spent big bucks, just to get broke down and spend more big bucks. Just remember, a spec of dirt in can cause this issue.
