Surge tank hose

I need to replace the 3x4 inch hose from surge tank to engine the hose in there now novaflex is it ok to change it to a Gate green stipe hose. The novaflex is reinforced marine grade hose.This is on a 08 dutchstar.

Quality 3/4" heater hose will deal with the pressure and temp , no problem .

Surge tank

My concern is suction as it connects by bottom radiator hose.
