Transmission Temp K3 London Aire
Picked up the 21 London Aire yesterday, first trip question.
LA running at 50200 lbs, pulling a Jeep Wrangler. Tranny temp was running about 200-205 degrees F
Seems high, My New Aire ran 135-165 same toad.

That does not sound bad.. with all the high ambient temps we have been having.. that said.. you can Google trans oil temp versus trans life .. and form your own opinion.. I am in the opinion the cooler oil temps longer trans life.. cooler eng.. the longer eng will last.. you can make sure to change fluids and coolant.. check radiator and oil coolers are all cleaned.. no clogs.. check fans.. ect.. next is just slow down.. or lighten up.. you can go to a lower eng thermostat.. you can add a trans oil cooler.. there are more modifications you can do.. but if you rv in zero temps.. you may have to cover extra cooler and go back to warmer thermostat.. so many choices.. it's up to you and how you use coach.. the real damage as you will see.. starts at 250+ .. I am even adding a extra radiator for eng coolant because I am a heavy summer user.. and heavy dash a/c user because of medical conditions.. plus I am allergic to cost of new trans and or eng replacement.. good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you..

So certainly not over loaded nor was I driving fast. Cruise set at 64. We were climbing some hills and descending.
I guess I am asking what other K3 owners are seeing on their trans temp gauge.

I have a 2021 London Aire my temps are 210 on very hots days but the norm is 190 to 200. I also pull a Jeep

Not quite as heavy as you but my tranny temp on K2 chassis is usually in the 195-205 range running across Texas summer roads. Pull Jeep Commander. Runs a little cooler not in heat of summer but once everything is warmed up 200 is pretty normal. We didn't worry about it when there was no gauge.

Per Allison 4000 literature, normal operating temperature is 80-100 over ambient air temperature.
