If I remember correctly there are RV spots at Deal's Gap, beginning of TOD NC side. Also when I made the ride I remember seeing some CG's on the Maryville side.
Call Deal's Gap and check out RV Park Reviews.
NC Side:
Check out "Hidden Waters" on US-129 close to US-74, Almond Boat and RV Park on US-28, Teaberry Hill on US-28.
On the TN side, Maryville, TN has plenty of CG's to check out.
Happy trails, and stay safe. No antics on the TOD. And yes, 318 turns in 11 miles.

Here's mine (we were at the iRV2 National Rally in Sevierville, TN and I rented a Honda ST1300 while there).

Hi All,
I am thinking that maybe on a free day at the National I can go do the Tail? Still trying to work things out, but hey planing is also fun and keeps me finding other stuff to add to My Bike Bucket List, LOL!!

That's what Kablewizard (another iRV2 member) and I did. He's the guy on the blue 'Wing in my photo above (post #6).
In fact, I squeezed 2 days in.

TOD is not just fun for motorcycles. We took our MX 5 on the Dragon a few years ago, had a great drive. Sorry no pics, lost them when my hard drive crashed. If you're in the area and have a sports car, check it out.

Great fun in a 5 speed mustang. We did pull over periodically and let the motorcycles going Mach 1 go by...

Lived in Goldsboro NC in the early 70s. The movie Two lane Blacktop pulled me to travel. I had the 67 MGB-GT up and down the road a few times, but I wasn't looking for a CG. Now on the left coast I would love to take one of the Bs back over it. A bit more traffic now as it hs been discovered!
