a k I did search and found your posts on the procedure. Thank you and so relieved it is possible, I also saw that the 2011 AWD will have a option? But, while searching I found this, http://www.roadmasterinc.com/pdf/25-3913-00.pdf. Since we have a Monaco it applies to us, and just last trip I saw the security light come on for the first time? I am going to take the Explorer to the dealer with this article and have them check it out. Thanks again

We pull a 20 1/2 ft enclosed trailer which holds our Smart car and Goldwing Tricar conversion along with all the other things you don't want to leave behind. It comes in at just over 10,000 lbs so I use a Trailer Toad which is capable of over 17,000 lbs. I'm long at 61 feet but legal in most places.

Overbilt Lifts motorcycle lifts, overbuilt lifts. Welding in the Hudson Valley.

We did not go with the Overbilt Lift because installation included cutting part of the frame of the motorhome? We have a RVLift, which I don't think is in business anymore as I can't find them online. The HydraLift is exactly like the RVLift we have. We have had it since October 2006 and virtually trouble free. Our heaviest bike is a RoadKing and as I stated before we tow a Ford Explorer behind with no problems. We had a custom fit vinyl cover made and have no problems with soot from the dielsel or road grime. A regular bike cover was a nightmare, flopping, coming off etc.

Just had an electric Overbilt (no u in the word) welded onto the rear of our Endeavor. This lets us haul our Victory Vision AND tow our Jeep at the same time. Picked one up used for around $1200 and spent probably $1000 on the welding, drop down hitch, wiring, etc.

Since we don't fultime we're not near the GVWR or rear axle limits on the coach so this lets us take both driving options. What's great about this set up is that the winch used to pull up the bike is the same you would buy for a jeep. Spent about $100 buying a 2000 lb winch motor for this and we're all set. This type of set up is also removable unlike most of the hydraulic set up. The other factor we had was we didn't want to deal with a trailer that had to be stored when camping or not camping. Takes up too much space.
