Greetings. I've been riding for 40 of my 49 years, and recently inherited the RV in my avatar. It's main use will be to get me, the wife, and the bike out of Wisconsin for a week or 2 at a time, as often as possible, during these brutal Wisconsin winters. Ideally, we'll get out for a week in November, one in December, one in January, and one in February. We'll see how that plays out...
The bike is a '99 Ultra Classic with just under 100k miles on the bottom end of the motor & transmission. Everything else has been replaced or modified over the years. I do all my own work, and enjoy it almost as much as riding. This past winter, I taught myself how to paint with much help from a custom painter friend on another forum, and painted the old girl. It was quite harrowing, but very rewarding in the end.
I'm going to have all kinds of questions for you guys. I know nothing about RVing, much less RVing with the bike in tow. I may not be the smartest guy out there, but I
am just smart enough to try and learn from
your experiences.
The wife and I are both pretty excited about this. We've wanted to do some "winter touring" for a while now, and it looks like we'll finally be able to. Thanks in advance for all the help, and here's a pic of "Beula Mae" (that's the bike's name... the wife's name is Patti).
