07 Georgetown 373 DS

Looking at a 07 Georgetown 373DS on a Ford 22,000 chassis. Did a search on that model here and no comments came up. Looking to hear feed back on that model, or the 37 foot series. Issues or things to look for. How is Forrest River to work with and genral experience with this vintage product or the Ford Chassis its on.

Thanks

We have the 2008 378 series Georgetown that is the same lenght. Wouldn't trade it. We have 19,000 miles on it traveling out west. It took the hills and mts great towing a 3500 lb Saturn behind it. I would test everything out before I bought a used one. To including the front tires for wear. several units were out of alignment (to including ours) which forest River paid for the realignment. WE have had no problems since then. Also the hydrolic jacks, check for leaks. we had to replace two of ours, again, FR took care of it. We have had a lot of compliments on ours. One thing, in 2008, they changed to the new digital HD tvs. The 2007s still had the analog TVs when we were looking.

We have a 2007 Georgetown 37 ft bath and 1/2. Never had any problems except the ground for the headlamps became loose due to the wrong ground screw which I corrected. The only other major item was the fresh water overflow self syphoned when full which I also corrected by installing a plastic gate valve on the overflow hose that I close when full and open when at the camp. Just need to put a screen over the opening so critters don't get in.

The main headlamp ground for the Georgetown is on the drivers side bulkhead under the hood next to the radiator below the master cylinder. As I meet other Georgetown owners I have noticed a grounded stud on the bulkhead which the harness is grounded to. Mine just had a screw with a concave shoulder. It loosened at 3am going through the PA pocono mountains and I had no front lights, a real bad occurrence. Someone at the factory didn't do there job, but it was better for me to correct it than bother with the dealer cause now I know it's repaired correctly.
