1993 Coachmen Santara Class C

Hello Everyone,

Found this site on a Google search and trying it out!

I have a 1993 29 foot Class C Coachmen Santara that I got in the past year and everything works fine except occasionally as I am driving along and there is a shifting of gears I here a brief noise/rattle towards the back for only a second or so and then it goes away.

I can't be more specific because it happens only once in a while and when it is moving. Would that be the differential making the occasional noise?

Welcome to iRV2. The rattle from the back when shifting could be anyone of a number of things.

Some of the things I would look at are:
Exhaust too close to a frame member'
Exhaust support broken
Intermediate drive line support loose.
Rear transmission mount (bracket loose)
If it is a clunk, rear axle or ujoints worn.

More than likely a broken motor mount would be heard at the front.

Ain't owning an RV a lot of fun...

Now when you get it fixed....

Ken
