Coachmen: 2011 Freelander - crack - how to repair?

this is on the front curve over the drivers seat
the original owner has put some silicone on it (bad, I know)
how should I repair this?
I drilled a hole to stop the crack migrating further

also what caulking would I use to re-caulk around the roof at the front

You could use EternaBond tape. As far as I know, it only comes in white or black. You could cut the tape before adhering it over the crack into an arrow or some other shape to disguise it as a patch. Thinking of the blue bird shape used on their buses and Wander Lodges.

Eternabond tape worked great
Used proflex caulking to redo the seam on both sides
Used acetone and a scraper to remove the silicone residue
