Any Forest River Salem Villa 395RET Owners?

I am looking at the 2017 or 2018 395RET. I am seeing prices all over the map. Anyone buy one of these recently, and if so what kind of price where you able to get?

RE: / just purchased

tkcas01,
Agree, prices vary quite a bit. Just purchased a 2017 (new) 395RET for $42,499 (MSRP = $55,753 / NADA = $53,500). I don't have an affiliation with this dealer, but their pricing is well below others that I looked at (Jeff Couchs RV Nation @ https://www.couchsrvnation.com). They're located in Ohio, not sure if this helps.
All the best.

Thanks so much for the relevant reply! Yes, I have kinda zeroed in on RV Nation as having the best pricing. I have, however, seen several negative reviews on their service after the sale. Will be interesting to learn what your experience is for any warranty work.

Will you have it near them for service? If I buy, before I have it towed to TX, I was thinking of having them deliver it to a nearby RV park and let me give it a shake down for a month maybe so they can address any issues - assuming they do indeed step up.

One other thing - since I made the original post, I realized this model (and many of the destination models) do not seem to have a place or connections for any type of washer/dryer. If one's destination is other than an RV park, that seems a lacking feature. Any thoughts on that?

Although reviews are helpful I try not to put too much into them unless personal experience proves otherwise. However I live +3 hrs from that dealer so I won't be using them as the servicing location.

Any dealer you may buy from should service the units they sell. They should also hook it up to the utilities and do a complete systems walk-through/check out with you. If they don't offer it I would ask, and if they won't do it I would consider shopping elsewhere. With that said, if you prefer to camp local to the dealer for a while, it sounds like a good plan. Something to note, and not sure if you're thinking about buying an extended warranty, is that Forest River does provide a 12 month manufacturer warranty on all new Salem Towables.

There are a few of the models that have the washer/dryer hook up option as shown in the floor plans. If you like a particular model it won't hurt to ask if that option is available from the factory.

Regardless, hope this information helps. All the best with your purchase.
