Anyone have any knowledge/experience with a Coachmen Cummins powered Avant Garde?
Hi,
I am interested in a 2010 ISB powered Coachmen Avant Garde. It is a FRED.
It is approx 34 feet long with mid-door. Additionally it has a factory installed propane boost injection system which makes me a bit leery. Supposedly the boost helps with fuel economy and power. But I'm thinking the cost of propane would negate the economy piece and leave it only as a "get over the mountains" play. If troublesome, it probably could be removed without too much trouble or just not turn it on to engage it. It does have a 75lb propane tank which would help with boondocking I suppose.
Being that it is a 2010 model I would be interested in any pollution control reliability issues anyone would be aware of. I know that it does not have DEF - thank goodness.
I believe the Avant Garde was made in 2009 and 2010 with both gas and diesel applications. There is very little on the internet about these units. In fact when I research them on the iRV2 link to JD Power NADA this model can't be found under either Coachmen or Forest River.
Any input anyone would have, would be greatly appreciated.
