Bent generator exhaust pipe?

I have a 2020 Forester 2551 DSLE and I must have rubbed my exhaust pipe against something. It got bent beyond the 90 degrees or so it was originally.

Any ideas if I can bend that back? Will it crack? I am better off getting a new one? Is so, any ideas where I can source that?

Thanks

The same thing happened to me. (except in my case there was no doubt on what happened)

I found a local welding shop that was able to keep the bulk of the exhaust and weld in a coupler of sorts to fix it. Cost about 50 bucks.

I just remembered that I did use PVC that I bent to make sure the repair would fit. I think I cut the bent piece out and used some pvc to replace it and then took it to welding shop and had them replace the pvc piece that I had made. You fill the pvc with sand to make sure it doesn't crease too badly.

You might take it off and take it to a muffler shop. They should have the right mandrels to straighten it, unless it at a weld joint. If so they can cut off and reweld or make a new piece.

UPDATE: I found a local RV generator supplier here in Ft Lauderdale who carries the part I need. Need to call him Monday. Hopefully he has mine in stock. Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for the advice

That's how I started my repair journey. A lot of these pipes seem to be custom. I went to the welding shop after I gave up trying to find the perfect match. Ended up saving a bit also.
