Broke fan lid

While putting the RV cover back on today I lost my balance and unfortunately landed on the rear fan. It cracked the lid to the fan. It looks like you can take it off and replace it but I can't figure out how to get the metal circle all the way back to the spot which is big enough for it to go through. Anyone have ideas? The wheel only turns about half the way needed. And then it doesn't say what brand it is to know which lid to get either. It's a 2017 Coachmen Prism 2150le and is the fan over the bed. Thanks in advance

Youtube is your friend. Here is a link to one style but there are hundreds of videos on this, just poke around and find one that looks like yours.

Yea, i looked at Youtube and it looks fairly easy. I just have to figure out which lid to buy to replace it. I took some photos just now to see if anyone could help out with what kind of lid to buy. And its not really a fan but just a vent.

The key to picking the correct lid is in the hinge. You have to know what kind of hinge you have.

Here's a guide:

Hope this helps.

Thanks. It's a long hinge with bent ends. It looks like the picture on the left but it says pre 1994....? And our coach is a 2017, so I'm confused

It has nothing to do with your coach year. The style of vent is a style introduced in 1994. They still make that style today.

The youtube link above is exactly how you replace yours. Except I used a pair of needle nose pliers instead of a flat head screwdriver. But you get the gist.

To answer your first question, you have to remove the screws holding the crank arm assembly to the center support. Then you can move to the keyhole and remove.
I recommend once you find your lid buy a spare, they don't last forever. I had to replace the one in the bathroom of my old rig twice in 5 years time. Mine was Hengs they seem to be popular
