Camera and dash monitor broke: 2014 Coachmen Pursuit

Hello,

my parents just purchased a brand new 2014 Coachmen Pursuit 33BHP.

It has the three camera system (sides and rear) that connect to a color dash monitor.

Upon inspection at the dealer there was a problem... the monitor worked (blue screen) but there was no video showing up. A technician came to the RV and disconnected the video box under the dash from power for 30 seconds. After this it worked fine.

My father drove it home and thought nothing more of it.

On the first outing the monitor did not work again. This time the screen is black. The power light on the LED screen blinks blue/red rapidly.

The video box under the dash has the three camera coax going in, power plug and a cable going out to the dash monitor. There is also a RCA video out for DVR recording of the cameras. We tried disconnecting the power, but that did not help.

We took a portable DVD player that has video IN capability and connected this to the video OUT on the video box under the dash so we could see if the screen in the dash is dead and the cameras are still working.

We got nothing.

So, maybe it is two issues - monitor in dash is broke + the video box is flaky and not sending a signal.

Anyone have issues like this? we are trying to get it fixed under warranty without driving 200+ miles back to the dealer.

I had the same problem with my 2015 Georgetown 378XL. The dealer pulled and replaced the unit.

This is what warranties are supposed to take care of. See your dealer before you screw up something they can claim was your fault.

Looks like the dealer is going to send a new monitor and switch to my Dad since he told them he could replace it.

He used to be a TV repair guy.

we found a place in town that does warranty work and it turned out to be a loose wire. Camera and monitor working again - yay!
