Storage compartments on each side of the range leave a lot to be desired.



Left side had a small knife holder and a place to put cookie sheet, cutting board but wasn't big enough for either to fit.

Left side now holds oven gloves , pot holders, and cookie/grill sheets.


Right side was for spices, but, the space between the dowels was so narrow spice bottles wouldn't fit.


Got rid of two lower shelves and dowels on top shelf. Put in 1/4" back board on one side and a lip on front side I gained 1" of width on the shelf.
Now spice bottles will fit. Left the two bottom dowels in to now hold cutting boards.
