Class C Leprechaun water when slides brought in

Fairly new to this RV thing. Today, in preparation for our maiden voyage, we brought the slides in. Heard water running and water had run into the inside of the cabin at 3 of 4 slide corner locations. Should this happen? Is there something we can do to prevent this or is this a Coachmen issue? Our RV is a 2021 only used three times.

Was it raining? If water was laying on the slides that could be possible. Do you have toppers on the slide? That would solve the problem.

When ready to bring them in you could lower that side so the water would run off before bringing in the slide.

We do have toppers. It had been raining hard earlier in the day. We will try lowering to see if that helps. Thanks!

If you have slide toppers and they are longer than the slide, you should not have water pooling on the top of the slide unless you have one heck of a wind blowing the rain in sideways. Water pooling on the topper is not unusual but it should not run inside the RV when the slide comes in.

It would not be unusual for some manufacturers to put on slide toppers that are a little shorter than the slides.

We have a 2020 Coachmen Leprechaun with 2 slides. A small one in the bedroom area and a larger one in the living/dining area. Both have slide toppers that are slightly longer than the slides. If it rains hard with some wind we will have water puddling under the topper on the longer slide and it will pour inside if I pull in the slide without removing the water first (discovered this the hard way). I'm not sure how it gets there other than being windblown. I use a collapsible ladder and a long handled squeegee to push the water out then I use an electric blower to get the rest. A bit of a pain but it works.
