Welcome to the forum. On my Ole 2001 Mirada, if I remember correct, it only had one battery for the coach and one for the chassis, both were under the hood. I used a marine deep cycle battery for the coach and a regular start battery for the chassis. Both batteries available at Walmart.
I also kept track of most of my work on the Mirada and documented it on my web site. Two items you should check on
1) Take your VIN number to any Ford dealer and verify if your Mirada is part of the Cruise Control recall.:

2) You may want to verify that the screws that secure the side wall to the frame didn't fall out . Mine were completely missing and I could see light between the floor and thew wall. Read both of these.
