E-Pro/Geo Pro Batteries

We are about to purchase a 19FBS which is equipped with solar and are deciding on the battery configuration. The dealers are either supplying 1 or 2 - 12v batteries and seem to be pushing that but we are leaning towards 2 6v's as we will be mainly boondocking off grid camping. Any suggestions on battery type? Trying to keep the price down to start.

If you're boondocking, lithium rocks! We took the leap and have never regretted it for a minute. We put it on PayPal Credit to ease the $ pain, with 6 months and no interest. If you join Escapees, the discount on BB batteries pays for a couple years of the dues.

If it MUST to be lead-acid, 2x 6V is the way to go. The dealer is pushing 12v because they always have a bunch of cheap units on hand to go out with trailers that only sell with one battery.

Ditto on the Sam's Club 6v batteries. Have used them since last August and they are very capable for all our needs. Great value for your $$$.
Cheers

My dealer replaced my 2, 12 volt batteries, on my new to me 2017 RV.

They were the cheapest, smallest and lowest capacity, 12 volt batteries out there.

I replaced them with a pair of batteries with twice the capacity when I got home.

I'll use the small ones for my trolling motor.

Thanks for the info validating what I was thinking. Not a Sam's Club member but looking into Costco, around the same price. Deciding on Group Size now.
