Forest River Forester LE

Looking at a Forest River Forester 2251 LE on a Chevy 4500 chassis.. From what I can find, it appears to be somewhat of an entry level model, but it appears to be higher end on the inside with the finishes and appliances. Does anybody have any experience with this model?

No, I have the Sunseeker on the Ford. I had a Thor class c on the Chevy and was very happy with it. The Ford has more power then the Chevy did, but I like them both. So fae the Forest River has been a good product. Just got back from 4 days with no concerns.

Thanks. I think with such a small coach, the Chevy 4500 should be fine. Almost every one I have found is on a Chevy chassis. I would rather have the Ford. I may look further into it and may include the Sunseeker.

My 2014 Sunseeker 2500TS is on the Chevrolet 4500. Smoother ride, bigger footwells, 1 mpg better, V8 rumble not the loud uneven of a V10. 6 speed transmission is fantastic. The 6.0 V8 does great with the under 30' Class C's. The Ford, all other things being the same, will likely have a higher tow rating. Both should have similar reliability.

I have the 2851 SLE on a E-450 but I think the Forester line interiors all the same, no complaints. you want the chevy and I have the ford and as you can see from my signature line I've done several things to the chassis to make it easier to drive. not sure if you will want/have to upgrade the chevy suspension ?

I only bought the same 22-foot Forester with Chevy engine in June, so I don't have much to compare. But I would like to hear of any problems with the Forester that you encounter. My biggest problem was the position of the black water shutoff valve, which is located on the passenger side. I added another shutoff on the driver side to stop the drip before it got to the end-cap. I hope to share notes and fixes with you.
