Forest River Goofup

2013 Surveyor Sport SP260BH

Have owned it only 2 months and it is obvious why the previous owner sold it.

Right side of slideout dragging and gouging out the wood on the bottom due to an obvious misplacement of the slider track which is wayyy off center.

From right to left the slide contains the sink.....cook top.....fridge and pantry ...the latter 2 carrying the most weight.

The irony is that from left to center of track is 39 inches and then 54 inches to the right end which carries significantly more weight.

This just blows my mind..Is this deliberate or am I being too cynical?

Is there a REMEDY FOR THIS?? Thank you

I am furious 😠

Can you find a dealership that has one. If so, go inspect it and see if it like yours.

My first thought is that a roller(s) or pad(s) under the slide has gone awry. I wouldn't think the track would carry the weight.

Sorry I made an error in the 3rd paragraph of my opening post.

Where I state right to left should read left to right

I had a similar issue with my 2017 2502KS. If you have an above the floor slide out, you can adjust it yourself. In my case there is an adjusting bracket under my sofa, and under my kitchen which are both on the slide out. I took off the face under the kitchen, (the low side), which exposed the bracket, and raised the slide out up to the proper height. Just be careful if the slide out mechanism is bolted to the wall to ensure you don't rip those bolts out....

Not sure if this applies in your situation, but it saved me a fortune......

I should mention that I could adjust it till the cows come home and it would not make any difference.

The track is wayyyy wayyyy off center and that is why it drags and grinds on the heavy right side.

I have a hard time imagining that I am the only one to complain about this.

I had to build a contraption on caster wheels with a scissor jack that I put under the right side for the in and out operation .Whoever designed this should be in JAIL
