First let me say, you guys are great. My wife and I just purchased our first TT, its an 06 Sandpiper 301BHD, we are looking forward to our first family trip in it. We just fell in love with the layout due to its bunkhouse slide giving the kids a true room of their own. I'm sure I'll be back with many questions and seeking advice for myself and my brother he has a Sierra 301BHD.

We are owners of a 2012 Primetime Tracer Executive 2670. Didn't see Primetime as part of the FR group but they are!

Forest River Owners' Group Rally August 4-10 Goshen, IN

For all of the Forest River owners here, you might want to consider attending the FROG Rally, August 4-10 in Goshen, IN.

For $345, two adults in an RV get six nights of camping, ten FULL meals, live entertainment, factory tours, INCREDIBLE factory service, and much more.

For information and registration, and a highlight video of last year's event, go to www.forestriverfrog.com and click on the FROG RALLY banner.

Not familiar with the Forest River line. We found a B plus Lexington yesterday we would consider but want to learn more first. What is their reputation. They are owned by Thor? Is that a good thing?

Any comments? We are downsizing from a Class A Winnebago. Comments?

Thumbs up

Hi Barb:
Our Georgetown is a Forest River product and we have been very satisfied.
Forest River is not related to Thor and it is actually owned by the Berkshire group. Very deep pockets.
We would buy another Forest River Product if we were in the mood to trade.

Barb, here's very good list posted by Janet H at the top of this thread that will tell you a little more about Forest River. Since her post we've also acquired Dynamax, with the Dynamax Super Class C line, Isata, and now the Trilogy fifth wheel, and have begun the Aviator line as well.

Forest River is wholly owned by Berkshire Hathaway.

Barb,

We have had a 2007 Lexington for 3 years now, and we love it. It really is the perfect RV for us that was in our price range. Best of luck to you. By the way, we downsized from a Winnebago class A as well, and have never looked back. We also moved up several model years, since our Winnebago was a 2001.

With all the gas coaches I've owned (one Dodge and two P30s}alignment and road wonder seemed to be the norm.Of course these were 95 and older coaches. No one gave a thought to weight distribution. I would think that by now they would be a little more careful about that though.
