I found this

We have a 2017 36CK2. I was having a scraping sound as the driver side slide moved in and out.
I found this. It looks broken at both ends.
Any ideas? Coin is a quarter for reference.

JMHO:
I'd say construction debris , looks like the pull pin from a pop rivet , marks on the shaft would be from a power rivet tool .

Rivet stem, I think

Best I can tell from your picture (and my eyes), I presume it's a rivet stem that was missed during dealer clean up (if any). Could have been rolling around under things for ages.

Agree that it is construction debris, but I've never seen a threaded pop rivet stem. More like a mis-manufactured (headless) screw.

The center two rivets in the image above show the fairly commonly used threaded shank rivet for extra griping power.

The OP picture looks more like screw threads, at least to my eyes.

I can't blow the picture up without loosing definition , but the marks on the shaft are right angle not spiral.

Sometimes things are so simple, but only if you pay close attention

Thank you for the correction.
