Leaky Rims

I purchased a 2016 Forest River Clipper from a local dealer. After traveling for the first year, sporadically, my wife and daughter took it to Disney. Enroute, they had a flat tire, which Good Sam roadside assistance handled for them. Upon their return home, I had the tire checked, and it was found that the rim was leaking where the two halves are pressed together. General RV, after some discussion, had the rim replaced, but I was told that from then on, I was on my own since the warranty had expired. About a week later, I discovered the other tire (the remaining original rim) was flat. Again, the tire was changed, and AGAIN, after checking, it was found that this rim, TOO, was leaking where they are pressed together.
I was just wanting to alert everyone that this could be an ongoing problem for Forest River owners, or perhaps all trailer buyers. I am not sure how to start a government recall check, but perhaps one is in order. I do not know the name of the rim manufacturer, but I am sure Forest River would have that info.....

Thanks for reading, Jeff

Howdy!

Almost all RV tire rims are supplied by a company named TREDIT TIRES their number is 866-443-9907. We had a problem with the rims on our first 5er and Tredit replaced all the rims. After that we had a rim crack and I called Tredit again and they once again replaced all the rims. Both times we were out of warranty and Tredit replace them at no cost to us. They shipped the rims to us and I did have to pay for installation. It's worth a call, can't hurt to try.
