Looking for expert (or not so expert) opinions

We are new to the RV world and are in the process of possibly purchasing Forest River - Cedar Creek 2010 (silverback 30 WRE). We just wanted some feedback if anyone has any opinions about this model good or bad.

Also is it worthwhile to get a washer and dryer?

Thanks for all your help in advance!!

Don't know this model, but in general 1) operate everything - every door, lock, switch, water heater and fridge on LP and electricity, furnace, AC, radio, CD player, etc. 2) Look for signs of leaks around the ceiling and under all sinks. 3) Approach the purchase inspection with the generalization that they are all designed by idiots, built by drunks and sold by liars (not my original, but I wish I had heard it before I bought my FR VFK 27).

Forgot to mention TIRES!

Check the DOT "serial number" stamping. If they were made on or before 2010 they are probably OEM, and probably junk. Forest River Forums has several extensive threads on the subject.

Can't give you an opinion on those specific models although we have looked them over and quality in years past, in our eyes, quality appeared good.

I will however, give you an opinion on the washer/dryer addition. We lasted about 3 years without a washer/dryer in the coach in a Big Horn. After installing a Splendide combo unit in that coach in March/2014, we never looked back. We traded the Big Horn off, and without fail, the trade included the dealer installing our Splendide in the new Trilogy coach. For us, it's a little like Carl Malden reminded us about the American Express card; "never leave home without it." Now that the Trilogy is our home, the w/d is always with us. For us, the washer/dryer in the coach is a no-brainer..... gebills
