New 35F

Just traded our Forest River Sunseeker Class C for an 2014 Vista 35F Class A.
Picking it up tomorrow.
Any questions that I absolutely have to ask the dealer before driving off the lot.
What should I "look out for"
This is our first Class A.
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the gang here!

Congrats on the new rig! I would insist that the dealer give you a thorough "preflight" on the rig. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions about anything that you don't really understand. Make them actually demonstrate how things work, not just tell you!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome, when you go and pick up your MH, plan on spending 4 hours to go thru it with them from head to toe. Bring a notebook so you can write notes down. If they can't answer a question, get someone who can(service manager ect). They should give you a satchel with all the component manuals, chassi manuals and warranty info ect. But you will learn alot more by them explaning how things should operate. Have them show you how everything works and that everything does work. When we picked ours up, the dealer had it all detailed, leveled, slides out, tv's on, sound system on, fridge on with the ice maker having already dropped ice, ready to go as if we were camping in it.

Even with all that, they had us close up the MH and then had us start from scratch as if we had just arrived at a campsite, had us level the MH, put slides out, turn on every component, set the ac/heater temps, run it on shore power and then unhook and operate the generator. So now we had actually done the set up and button up.

Even spending 4 hours doing this we missed some minor things, like shutting off the antenna booster to get cable ect. Don't think that this is a bother to them, you spent alot of money and this is the fun part, picking it up and using it. If there is anything that doesn't work I would make sure they fix it before you finish the deal/and take delivery. At the very least get something in writing stating what needs to be fixed and an appointment date for the service.

Have fun, we had alot of fun picking up ours and good luck.

It is imperative that you drive the coach and confirm it is properly aligned. If it pulls either way, do not accept delivery. It should track straight and require one finger to hold in a straight line.

Coach builders will point to the chassis builder for alignment. Chassis builders will point to the coach builder. To simplify things, if the driving is not perfect, do not take the coach until the sales outlet gets it fixed to your satisfaction.
