Newbe.

I have never pulled or set up out 5th wheel Forest River "2012 Rockwood" TT. Friends have advised my wife that we need to fill the freshwater tank at every campsite and hook up to the freshwater supply. That way if the campsite has low water pressure the trailer will switch to the onboard water pump and provide adequate water pressure to shower etc... Not sure how this works?

Welcome to iRV2.

With the fresh tank full and the 12 volt pump on , when the park pressure drops below the pumps pressure sensor , it will cut in and boost the pressure to the pump limit .

Works well , I've had the pump cut in a number of times . Beets the { self edit } of of a drippy shower head , while trying to get all the soap off .
