Oh Crap!

I side swiped a fence post, and tore up 2 baggage doors on the Georgetowm 378. I was trying to turn and the butt end swung out and hit the post. Boy do I feel foolish, my DW will use this one for awhile. Does anyone know who to talk to at FR to get baggage doors? Thanks in advance for your help.

My FIRST trip in my new, to me, beautiful motorhome, started by backing out of my driveway and right into a telephone pole. I was Soooooooo pissed that I didn't stop for about a mile or two before inspecting the damage. The worst part was that my neighbor witnessed the whole thing and LOVES telling the story every time we go camping together.

I bought my MH with a dent already in the tail end storage door. Maybe that way I can avoid hitting something myself.

No, I did not pay extra for it.

"Oh Crap!"

Yep, that does sound like a crappy situation. Sorry to hear about your incident, as "they" say, (and you know how "they" know everything) "crap happens".

Good luck with your fix and stay safe; I hope you'll be a lill more careful next time. One of my many philosophies in life is to always take my time and do the things right the first time.

Had alot on my mind, but should have been more focused. The deal is I went to get it from our property on the Kettle River. They are expecting record flooding and although I don't think it will get into our shop where I keep it, I thought better safe then sorry. Oh well I can fix it, if I can get the door skins.

Well a dent is a lot better than a flooded rv.

Haven't hit anything yet (crosses fingers) but I have noticed that all my close calls come when I am the most comfortable. As long as I remain tense while driving or negotiating a turn I'm fine. The other day I pulled out of my storage parking spot, turned the wheel and stepped on the throttle. Looked back in the left mirror just in time to see the rear swing out and narrowely miss the camper sitting next to me. Composed myself and then went on.

It will be fine Johnnyjoe, just get it repaired and forget the whole thing.

Yea we all do dumb things and our DW will hold it against us until they do the dumb thing. 2 weeks ago I was sitting inside relaxing and all of a sudden I hear a bang. Run outside and the DW had backed the SUV into her beloved 79 Bronco. Didn't do much damage to the SUV (just need to replace the bumper) but her Bronco front drivers door is toasted. She cried for over an hour. Now I have leverage for my next dumb move.

Well that's worst than the damage to the MoHo. Now I really feel sorry for you.
