Rear AC on Columbus

I'm stumped.

The rear AC on our brand new 2017 Columbus is "short cycling" but with one caveat. In other threads I've read, this short cycling problem refers to just the compressor while the fan continues to run.

In my case the compressor will turn on along with the fan on low for a duration of 70 seconds. Then the fan will kick up to high (since it's set on auto) for just another 70 seconds. Then the entire unit will shut off for 45 seconds. Repeat. All day. Needless to say it cannot keep up with the 95 degree heat in Gallup, NM.

Please, does anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried turning off the AUTO and try just the manual mode? Also do you have the front A/C on and are they ducted?

I have a 2016 Cedar Creek with two Dometic A/C's and they are ducted but I do not run in the Auto mode at all. I place the controller in zone I mode and set the A/C temp at 72 and the fan to on; with Zone 2 (front) say the temp is set to 73 and the fan is on. This seems to work correctly for me.

Let us know if this works or not. You may need to contact Forest River for additional help. Here is the link: Palomino Contact Us
