Refrigerator not working...won't turn on

Hi everyone. Looking for a 2006 Forest River Surveyor owner's manual. My sister and I bought this camper and having hard time running the refrigerator. I rather run it off of the electric rather than gas. The lights come on to auto; gas button is turned off then the check light goes on. Thank you.

Please tell us the make and model # of your refrigerator. Most all have service and owner's manuals available online. Many models will blink an error code, the manuals tell you how to access and interpret those codes.

Does the refer work on propane?

Keep in mind that the electric side needs AC and DC to run without propane.

For RV refrigerators to run, they need to be fairly level.

Just to see if it works, I would try running it on propane. You'll need propane in your tank, propane tank valve open, and you'll need to purge the air from the line. I purge the line by turning on a burner on the stove and lighting it.

If the stove and fridge haven't been used in a while, it make take 30-60 seconds for the gas to arrive at the burner.

If you do find an owner's manual for the RV, it probably will not be much help with the refrigerator. Like all RVs, they are assembled of components made by other manufacturers. Each component has it's own owner or service manual, usually available online. If you survey your RV from top to bottom, each system or part you find should be noted for make and model. Time spent on Google searching for each manual will yield a wealth of information. I have a folder of bookmarks and a folder of PDF manuals on my laptop that travels with us.
