Removing window coverings

We just got a 2019 026QB Coachmen Leprechaun and the owner was a smoker. We have removed all the window coverings except 3. We cannot figure out how they are attached. They are Roman Type shades and 3 of them were hung with brackets which we removed. We can't figure out how to get the others down so I can clean them. Please help, we have an anniversary trip planned next week and we are running out of time. Thank you

Don’t know that I can help with the shades, but what day is your anniversary?

Ours is the 25th.

Oh, and if you can post a picture of the shades your having trouble with, I might be able to help.

Is there any documentation on the brand of shade?

If your concern is smell and not appearance, get one of these:

At Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Run it for an hour, let it sit for several more hours, and the odor will be gone. (Won't help with appearance, though.)

Was just going to suggest an ozone generator as well - although depending on how deeply embedded the tar and nicotine is, it will probably take several 1 hour cycles.
There are more economical ozone generators out there but they also produce less ozone.

For your shades, I just did a general search for “Roman shades” and found a site, then looked for installation instructions. Link below -

Problem is, you don’t know that Coachman followed the instructions.

^^^ THIS right here, y'all. Seriously. Might take a couple of times, and repeat as needed.

I bought my 'new to me' car when it was cool. Come spring I found out the previous owner was a smoker.

Two 30 minute treatments with the ozone machine, about a week apart, and the stale smoke odor was gone... for a few months. I repeated the treatment and ran the air conditioner in recirculate mode. So far the smell hasn't come back.

Happy anniversary, and safe travels!

I carry that particular one in the RV. I think it has now deodorized at least twenty other RVs - everybody wants to try it when they see it.

A bunch of them went out and bought their own after trying mine. They're that good. (They even do Cat.)

Window Shades

This is what the shades look like. No Valence is attached. I ran a putty knife between the shade and the top where it is attached and I also ran a putty knife behind them and I could not feel a screw or bracket. There were 6 in the rv and three had brackets and were easy to remove. I can't figure this one out. Thank you

Try lifting the shade up to expose the curtain header underneath the shade. You should see what attached the shade then.

The pictures are kind of grainy so as to be able to discern the detail of how they are installed.

But it looks to me like there is some type of header board across the top of the curtain. That board may be wrapped with curtain material so as to hide the mounting screws.

The 2nd picture you posted shows the bottom of the shade lifted - lm surprised you can’t see up between the window and the shade to see some sort of fastener that might be pointing up and into something across the top window frame or other top surface.
Again, the pictures don’t provide a clear view of the possible surfaces the “header” is mounted to.
