Slide on 2006 Epic
Here's the problem. 2006 Epic with 2 slides. Bedroom slide works fine. Dinette slide will not move. Have checked all fuses (that I could find) looks good. Decided to hook up 12 volts directly to motor to see if motor is bad. Works if I do that. Reverse the leads and it will come in. Not the motor. Had wife work switch in coach while I listened to the relays. Relays click when switch is pressed. Any ideas on what could be wrong? This has to be something simple. Is there a fuse that they hid somewhere when building the coach? I am running out of Ideas.
Thanks

George,
Thank you. I would have never found the two inline fuses. One was blown. I still had trouble finding them because they were hid under all the other wires. Thanks again, all is fine now.

Glad I could help, not too many Epic owners around but we are very happy with ours. You may want to replace those fuses with circuit breakers so if you have a problem on the road you can reset them to get the slide moving till you can get it repaired. I have found that tree sap on the side of the slide, or an unusually cold day could produce enough resistance that the fuse might blow.

George,
The Epic is not mine yet. I found a dealer who is just getting into RV's and will sell this 2006 Epic with only 14000 miles on it for only $61,000. He will fix anything I find wrong with it. It is sitting in my driveway right now and I am going over it with a fine tooth comb. Have not found anything major yet. The slide is not working perfect. I think it needs leveled or something. When I am putting in out, it seems as if the top catches on something and the bottom keeps moving. The slide will almost like fall to catch up. I am pretty mechanically inclined so I am going to see if I can find any problems. I love the way the thing drives and the price, I can't pass it up. Any suggestions on adjusting the slide??

Check the slide awning hanging up on the way out, which would hold the top back until excessive tension pops it loose. Had that problem on another unit. Also check your outside radio. Ours would come on by itself at all times. Dealer changed out radio and now this one is doing the same thing but is out of warranty. I finally cut an off/on switch in the hot wire. What chassis is it on. I have a Workhorse which I like but the brake calipers are under recall and replacements are not available yet. The 61 price sounds very good.

This thing is in great shape. Plastic is still on carpet and on refrig. Not a mark inside. I will check the topper. Thanks.

it is on the Ford chassis. I have a winnebago at the moment that is on the Workhorse chassis. It has the auto park that has given me nothing but trouble. We also show quater horses and need more room in a motor home.
