Slideout seal slipped over top of roller

I was applying a spring coat of lubricant to the slideout seals on my 2020 Coachmen Mirada and found the front edge of the passenger side slideout seal has flipped over the top of the roller - again (see photo).

I just had the seal replaced in December 2024 for the same problem. It was well lubricated at the time of replacement and still felt moist today. The slideout has only been cycled out and in a few times since then so it is very disturbing that this has happened again with so little use.

I'm leaving tomorrow for 11 weeks so repairs are going to have to wait. I'm thinking that strip that slipped over the roller is going to tear off after a few more passes. Is there anything I should do temporarily to keep from waking up to a flood?

It would appear that the site computer has rotated your picture during posting .

I'll assume that this roller is on the bottom of the slide and the black material on the left is the slide floor .

Can you leave the slide in during your absence ?
With the roller being on the slide bottom I don't believe water intrusion will be an issue ; dust and insects most likely.

Thanks for the reply

Yes, the photo got rotated so that the top of the picture is on the left side even though it was taken in portrait mode, which, according to Forum rules, should have presented it correctly. I tried several times, but *♀️

Anyway, you are correct: the roller is on the slide bottom. I hope you're correct about water not intruding there. I think I'll hit Coachmen up for their thoughts as to why this keeps happening.

I am currently occupying the rig for an 11 week trip. I guess I could put that slide in on days when I go sightseeing but it would be annoying.

I'm trying your picture after reducing the size .

EDIT : I reduced your picture to 1000 pixels and rotated it in my computer and now it posts as intended.
