Space above fridge in a 2016 Coachmen Prism 24G

Does anyone know what is in the space above the fridge in a 2016 Coachmen Prism 24G?

I am looking at replacing the cantankerous Dometic RML 8555 fridge and need to know if I can cut into that space.

Thanks for your input.

I have the same one. Just checkd and it looks like the back side is open clear up to the roof. (I ran my solar wires down that way.) I can't tell what is behind the control panel. Both side panels next to the fridge feel pretty flimsy while the top panel over the fridge feels prrtty solid - I do see a couple screws holding the fridge going into the panel so it would need to be strong. Good Luck!!

I just purchased a used Coachmen Prism 24G on a Sprinter Chassis. I have 2 questions. Number 1=Does anyone know exactly where the fresh water drain is on a Coachmen Prism 24G? Number 2=How can I tell if I have an Inverter?

In our 2016 24G, the low point drains are under the drawers under the stove. You can remove the 4 screws from the furnace return and access them that way also. There are 3 drains there - you pull up on the T handle. The tank will drain much faster if you turn on the water pump. Thefresh water tank is under the fridge. The water heater is across from the fridge above the converter.

As far as I know, the 24G did not come from the factory with an inverter. Many people have added them but you would have to trace wires from the batteries to find it as it could be anywhere but most likely would be near the batteries.

AudiDudi,
I recall you did a solar upgrade. Did you add a dc-dc charger? If so where did you place it?

I did not add a DC-DC charger as I am not running Lithium batteries. I mounted the charge controller just to the left as you enter the coach. (Prism 24G) Removing the subwoofer made access pretty easy. I put 200w of Renogy (2x 100) on the roof and I'm using their Rover MPPT controller.
