Congratulations! I looked at a 3010DS at an RV show last year and really, really liked it. I couldn't find anything in the fit and finish that wasn't tight.
Make sure your dealer shows you everything TWICE - once before you try it yourself and once after you try it for yourself! There are a lot of systems in an RV, especially a motorized one!
It helps troubleshoot problems if you know what runs off of what system. For example, you have a chassis 12V system and a house 12V system. So, your dome light in your cab may work but your lights on the ceiling of your RV don't. What's up with that? Or, your TV and some lights run just fine but your ceiling light doesn't...hmmm...you also have a house 110V system to work with. When you have issues, you can post a question here and someone will be able to help you - make sure you add your make, model, and year to your signature file AND be clear in your subject. Some things may be specific to your model, but 99.9% of them will be general. There's a Forest River Owner's Group -
FROG - Forest River Owners Group and Forest River Forums
Forest River Forums - Forest River Owners Community for additional help.
When I went for the walkthrough for my 2007 Gulf Stream that I ordered, I had printed out a copy of the rather useless owner's manual from the web and took notes in it. Those notes have come in handy...take notes while your dealer is demonstrating and send him/her away while you try to follow your own notes. It helps to join Coachnet as well as they offer 24/7 phone support - you get 1 year free with your purchase.
Once again - CONGRATULATIONS and ENJOY!!! There are a lot of people here to help...
