Teton All In One WiFi Booster/LTE Prep & Antenna

My Rockwood 2511s is coming with a Teton All In One WiFi Booster/LTE Prep & Antenna. What does this actually do and with LTE prep what do I need to stream efficiently from cellular when WIFI isn't available or insufficient. I plan to use a projector outside the RV for movies/sports.

I was going to call wifiranger. It’s implied that all you need is the cellular modem. But on wifiranger’s website you can’t just order the modem. You have order a new controller too. Never got a chance yet.
I also was looking at the data plans from ATT. They want $90 a month for 5 GB of data under their RV plan. Whereas it’s only $25 a month for unlimited for the hotspot on my truck. The only thing I don’t know is if the hotspot on my truck works while it’s off

The WiFiRanger being mounted on your RV is a combination WiFi amplifier/repeater that also includes a TV/FM/AM antenna. It is designed to make it easier to connect to WiFi such as you might encounter at an RV park. The model you have is designated a TetonHD.

A cellular modem can easily be added to the TetonHD either during the manufacture process or on your own, after delivery. All that is required is a new "carrier tray" and the modem itself. The necessary items can be ordered from the WiFiRanger online store.

With all due respect, all that is required when you add the modem is the purchase of a new "carrier tray", not a "controller." The modem is "packaged" in the tray to make it easier for customers to install it themselves.

My bad. I called it a controller. Wifiranger is calling it a carrier kit. According to the ordering walkthrough, I have order a carrier kit and the cellular modem @ $100 each. I would think I just needed the modem. It doubles the cost. Again I’m meaning to talk to a real person @ wifiranger to confirm I need both or if there is an issue with their ordering script.

The modem is delivered to WiFiRanger customers in a carrier tray to make it easy for them to install. If that is unacceptable, you are welcome to purchase a modem from another retailer and install it on your own.

Links are not working, having problems finding the am/fm/tv add-on.

Hi, is WiFi Ranger no longer selling the am/fm/tv add-on to the TentonHD? Please advise

I think the Teton HD is only available to the RV manufacturers. When I first looked at adding LTE to my Teton HD 3 months ago I don’t think they had the HD variant listed on the wifiranger web site. I’m guessing the electronics for the tv are from another company. Wifiranger seems to be focused on the wifi and LTE piece. The gentlemen that posted on here too seems to have some insight into the wifiranger company.
Did you get a Teton and not a Teton HD? You might try calling wifiranger and see if they can tell you if the TV components are sourced from another company and what the name is. Or call your trailer manufacturer and see if you can order through them
I’d be curious to know if that is the end of Teton HD

As has already been noted, the TetonHD is only sold to RV manufacturers for installation on new RVs. The higher power WiFi transmitters on the other Converge models make them incompatible with TV reception.

Although different components of WiFiRangers are obtained from sources around the world, the integration of the device with its firmware is entirely a WiFiRanger endeavor.

Thanks docj for the confirmation on the Teton HD status. Good to know the product is still around. Thanks for the info on tv antenna and other wifiranger products.
