Question Water leak when using City water supply(Prisim 24G)

Hello,
I have a water leak under the RV when using the city water supply. I have a pressure gauge in line with the hose to the RV inlet. I do not have the leak when using the fresh water tank. Any suggestions on how to find this leak without tearing the rig apart would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
EB

Did your tank fill up to the top an is now maybe overflowing? With the over flow dumping water?
IF you find your tank full...you may have a bad check valve in the 12v water pump!
We had this and one Fix is to disconnect from shore water & run the pump till the tank comes down a try again with shore power! If your tank still is filling. Try again. If this does not help it’s a bad check valve in the 12v fresh water pump! The front part of the pump could be replaced OR a completely new pump! We got a new pump!
Best of luck

Thanks, the leak is definitely not being caused by the closed on board system.

The leak only happens when using city(shore) water. When I shut off the water supply the leak stops. I thought it may have been coming from the water heater, but I have not been able to confirm or dismiss the heater as the source when on the city water to the RV.

I have a 2017 Persuit, I had the same problem my first time camping with full hookups, I found that the labeling on the water connections are incorrect. When I connect to the “city water” connection it actually fills the tank then over flows, when I connect to the fill connection it just pressurizes the water system.
I could just reach up underneath and swap the hoses but have not done that yet.

As suggested by 'Stevegd007' the on-board pump internal check valve could be leaking allowing city water to backflow thru pump filling/then overflowing the fresh water tank

City water and pump supply same plumbing system so pump has the internal check valve to stop backflow when using city water

Remove pump suction line..turn on city water and see if water flows back thru pump. If so replace pump check valve, install an in-line check valve on pump suction line OR run pump and possibly clear any thing holding check valve open

One other source could be 'FILL Valve' if you have one that you turn to fill fresh water tank or turn to use city water ....o-rings go bad and fill valve leaks----filling/overflowing fresh water tank

SO.....is your fresh water tank FULL and OVERFLOWING???

Hi Thanks for the replies! It is not an overflow of the water tank wich is on the passenger side of the RV. The leak is on the driver side and usually drips behind the rear wheel. i wil have a chance to revisit the issue over the Christmas week while camping.

Thanks Again!
