Wildcat 5th Wheels

Calling all Wildcat 5er owners. We were recently at an RV show when we had viewed some very appealing floor plans on the Wildcats. However we don't know and have never heard to much about the Wildcats good, bad, or otherwise. Of course the salesmen tell you they are the best, and maybe they are, but you hear that same statement from any salesman no matter what brand it is. Can you let us know how your experiences with these 5er's have been?

Hhhhhmmmm, ok the silence is verifying my suspicions. I've checked out another forum and it seems they have had a few issues over the years.

Hello Slocanpaul,

We have a Forest River Wildcat and love it. This is actually our 2nd Wildcat 5th wheel. We have had a few problems but have not had any trouble getting them taken care of! They really do have some wonderful floorplans to choose from.

We are on our second Wildcat 5er, bought the first one used, think it was an 05 QBH. We loved it so much but really wanted to go back to the toy haulers so we bought an '11 31THS. The only issue other than the super cheap mattress, is one staple that is attempting to push through the linoleum and two squeaky spots in the floor where the subfloor isn't properly secured. This is more of an annoyance, but considering they'd have to rip the entire floor to fix it and it'd be cut to the walls instead of under them like it is now, we've decided it's a small thing we can live with. I don't know what model you're looking at, but I can tell you we LOVE ours!

Sorry for the late reply, but I just found your post.

We've had our 30Loft 5th wheel for two years and absolutely love it. We shopped around literally for years before deciding. For the price, the FR is great. We had an issue with the shower mixer valve not having putty around the inlets and some loose screws but that is about it. I don't think there is a manufacturer out there does not have some issues and at this price point, the quality of the FR seems very good.

We bought our Wildcat 31TS in October '10 and love it. It has been to Florida and on up the coast to Portsmouth, VA and back to Oklahoma with absolutely no problems. We previously had Motorhomes, and because of the wind we encounter here in OK and points west, found that the 5th wheel is much easier to control. We pull with a '08 F250 diesel and have no problems.
