Should ceramic coating be applied over Diamond Shield area of motorhome?

I cannot speak to every ceramic coating on the market for this question, but I can tell you that our RV ceramic coating can definitely be applied to the Diamond Shield on an RV. The ceramic coating will add additional protection to the Diamond Shield.

The prep required varies based on the condition of the surface. In most instances we recommend washing the RV with soap and water, followed by machine buffing with a medium cut compound, then machine buffing with a polish. After polishing we always recommend whipping the surface down with an alcohol cleaner to remove any left over residue from the buffing steps, then apply a minimum of two coats of the ceramic coating.

The prep is a very important part of any ceramic coating application, because ceramic coatings will seal and enhance the current condition of the surface when applied, it will not hide or cover up any imperfections on the surface.
