I also need to know whether I should try to restore my decals before or after and if before .... should I be waxing and polishing over the decals ?
I also need to know what pads i need for the best results.

This kit would cover all your needs:
Porter Cable 7424xp McKee's RV Polish & Wax Kit
Since your RV is pretty faded, I would get a couple extra
buffing pads.

This is awfully convenient...but I would recommend the exact same kit as I did for the gentleman above. This is a versatile kit that works great on new and faded standard (gel coat) and painted RV's/trailers.
