You would need to install TST sensors the HHR.

So if I understand this correctly, I need to change the sensors on the car tires in order to read them on the TST Display. Since these are new sensors installed on the new tires, I was hoping to not have to pay to do this again. Can new TST sensors be installed on the current valve stems and still work. Perhaps I need to reconsider if I need to monitor the HHR tires for a while until new tires are needed again. Not sure wha the cost for this might be. Chuck

Leave your new sensors on if they are mounted in our tires, just install the other sensors onto the valve stems while traveling take them off when you are not. That's how I use mine.

Your HHR TPM sensors are internal in the tire/wheel, and specific to your dash readout.
The TST sensors are external and mounted on the valve stems. Two entirely separate systems, neither one will register on the other--or shouldn't.
Do as JohnRR said above, but I would just leave them on all the time whether driving it or towing it, and use the TST monitor in the coach when towing.

Thanks JohnRR and wingnut60. That info is very helpful and solves the issue for me. Chuck

Just to clarify I leave mine on while traveling with the MH I take them off once the MH is put away for the season I don't want those big lollipops on during the snow and ice season.

You also might have to get metal valve stems put on your HHR to use valve stem TPMS sensors.

Metal valve stems are recommended because the weight of the sensors may cause flexing and subsequent breakage of rubber stems. I kept the rubber stems on my 94 Saturn wagon because the wheel covers limit the movement of the sensors/stems and I haven't had a problem in 2 years of towing.

Using the TST system, I have had 2 failures on rubber valve stems. But it took 2700 and 3500 miles to fail. Of course it was never in my driveway and on curb side. After metal... Zero..and pressures do not need adjustment as often.
The "problem/cause" of valve stem failure seems to be sharp edges of wheel valve stem opening and/or wheel vibration caused by road conditions or wheel/tire imbalance. This causes the stem flex to increase wear with the additional weight/mass dangling in the end of the stem.
So, make sure to balance tires WITH the TST sensors installed. This will help minimize TST cause of imbalanced tire/wheel.
Many "trailer" tires are NOT balanced when installed... (Per comments by every RV dealer we have asked).
If you want to reduce potential issues, replace the TOAD internal sensors with metal stems.
Oh, on our 34' metal trailer, I had to add "repeaters" between wheels and the receiver.
I have always left the sensors in place. They "pulse the readings every few seconds so the batteries lasted us over 2 years and only one failed at shy of 2 years. If you change the batteries every other year or when a particular one stops reading, your system will be reliable.

My TST TM-510RV system is now 2 years old. One sensor on the motor home and the 2 front wheel sensors on the toad do not give any readings until I've driven 20-30 minutes. Could this be caused by the batteries getting weak. Once they start reading I can park the RV beside the house and still read the toad 4 tires while it's in the driveway at the other end of the house. This is about 50-60 ft. separation.

My vote is for weak batteries in the sensors. When mine act as you describe, I change the sensor batteries and they spring back to life.
Just for peace of mind I replace all 10 batteries annually. This also allows/forces me to check the o'rings.
I have the flow through sensors.
