Do the inverters charge the house batteries and engine batteries when plugged into shore power or do I need to get a Amp L, thanks

The house batteries should be charged, don't know about the chassis batteries some do some don't. You will need to check the battery charge rate with a volt meter. If they are being charged the voltage reading should be around 13V to 14V.

Depends

Some units have a B.I.R.D., a system that will charge chassis batteries after the coach batteries are charged to a specified voltage. It is not new tech as my unit is a 2003 and this system was factory installed. I will let more tech members fill in the details such as aftermarket support and price.
