If the cabinet around the TV is solid, the second way is inside the cabinets on each side of the TV there are removable thin plywood panels next to the TV. Remove these cover panels and there will be a couple of screws holding the TV mount in place.
So, if you have the first method you can take the brackets off the TV and mount a new, possibly larger, TV in the same place (assuming there is space between the TV and cabinet)? I have a couple inches all the way around my TV which also has a roughly 2” bezel on the sides and top. The bottom is larger.
