Welcome aboard! Can you give more information... what are your coach details, are the flashes evenly spaced?

this is what I found.... When the light blinks three times in a row, it is indicating a service shutdown. You need to get a secondary code from the generator. Press the Stop/Prime button 1 time to prompt a second, two digit fault code. This secondary code consists of two sets of flashes.

Looking at your only other post, you mention a 2006 Essex. The attached Cummins pages are from 2016 and may or may not be helpful concerning model year 2006.

Then, once you have read the secondary code, press the stop/prime side of the switch again, to shut off the light blinking.

yes thanks all ;;I know all that and have tried (believe me) more than once all I get is the 3 flashes and will not go into fault code mode the 12.5 manual I read said press stop button 3 times then let flash (3) twice in a row then push stop once this thing is stuck in 3 flash mode 24 hours a day
I assume the ecm (starter relay and control panel) is under the main switch area at the generator ?

Have you tried disconnecting the 12 volt power, waiting 10 seconds and then reconnecting? Might be worth a try.
