12vdc interior lighting out on both main slides -drivers side and passenger side

Ok. I'm stumped. On of the decorative lights in our 2009 Tiffin Phaeton QTH stopped working a while ago. Suddenly one day NONE of the slide mounted 12v lights work. Fused are fine. Where else should I look????

I'd look at the wiring that has to flex when slide is operated.

Yep, that would be a good place to start. Our '02 Dutch Star had the wiring/propane line run in a hinged channel. Found that some wires weren't tied down well enough. Luckily I found it before anything broke or wore through.

I have a 2009 QTH. First thing is to look in the closet in the right hand side behind the dark plastic panel and look for circuit breakers that say slide on them. One for kitchen slide and one for dining area slide. Reset both breakers even if they look fine. Make sure to press the breaker all the way down, then flip back up.

The next place to look if it is the dining room slide with no power, is underneath the slide in the basement. In the basement, under the fridge end, look up. There you will see a plug plugged in on the roof of the basement. It may have fallen out. Wire tie the plug into the receptacle if it has fallen out.

Another serious problem has been known to happen lately with that upside down plug. Some have reported that it has burned up, melted into the receptacle. You need to look at that plug on a regular basis even if the circuit breaker reset works.

Thanks, everyone. Got it solved. You were close, Melmoses. It wasn't the circuit breakers labeled "Slide X" (which only makes sense - it was a 12v problem not 120). However, we had only checked the fuses labeled "lighting" but when we looked at the fuses labeled "Slide X" two had blown. We had been trying new bulbs on both sides, but had been sold the wrong bulbs and caused the fuses to blow. Thank you VERY much for the tip about the plug problems in the bay! I will check ours today.

Actually you were correct both times. U.S. household voltage is defined as 120v 60 Hz alternating current. It is often described as 110v, but if you do the math for Amps = Watts/Volts it calculates better if you use 120v rather than 110.
