1988 Pace Arrow: Lost Power Steering & Brake power at the same time.

Hey everyone! I have a 1988 Pace Arrow motor home with a couple issues. Yesterday I drove about 120 miles to go pick up a car tow dolly.

1.As I was driving the vehicle began shaking side to side violently so I decreased speed and it stopped. Throughout the drive it would occur at 35, 45, and 55mph at various times. I read online that it sounded like Torque Converter Chatter and that I should use Dr. tranny. Any thoughts?
2. I arrived at my destination and hooked up the dolly. As I was pulling away I quickly noticed that the power steering was inoperative as well as the power to the brakes. I believe the power steering very well be the belt, the bigger question is why both the PS and the Brakes would fail at the same time right after hooking up the trailer?

Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated.

Mike

this is just a thought ..... i had a dump truck and the power steering pump also was hooked to the power breaks . my 98 bounder was the same way. so off the power steering pump you should have a line that also goes to your break booster . i don't know if its the same on yours but that is what i experienced with my dump truck. i hope this helps in some way.
