1990 Mallard Motorhome

I have a 1990 mallard motor home ford on john deere frame /oskosh it is almost perfect shape the odometer does not work,but speedometer does does . I got it remuved ok but can it be fixed trying to sell it for 8500 any help would be great.the odometer stoped working at 44000 miles which is pretty close on mileage
