1991 P30 Bounder 454 TBI, where is the fuel filter?

My rv is quite low to the ground, and I haven't attempted to jack it up high enough to get underneath it yet. (fatboy problems) Can anyone tell me approximately where the fuel filter is located. From what I have read its likely to be inside the frame rail. But thats 20-25' of unchartered territory. Knowing exactly where to start would be a huge help.

Toof is correct. You will find it about two feet in front of the rear wheels on the passenger side. Also, as he stated, it is on the INSIDE of the frame.

Thanks sooooooo much, that is good info! Would you guys know a part number by chance? Id like to pick one up on my way home from work tomorrow. If I have to pull it to know for sure what filter it is it will cost me another day. I can always return it if it were incorrect.

Hi I had a 94 fleetwood pace arrow with a 454 TBI my records show the fuel filer was an AC DELCO PART # GF652 . I would think yours would be similar? On amazon the OEM part # is 25171792 hope it helps

On my 82 PA its just behind the front tire on the passenger side. Inside the frame with a heat shield covering them, yes there is 2, 1 for each tank, unless you only have 1 tank.

I'm getting very frustrated dealing with the local parts stores trying to buy a fuel pump. You guys were a great help in locating the filter and even providing a part number. Can any of you provide the part number for the entire fuel pump/level assembly? I would rather order it online than to go back into a big box store where they only know what a computer tells them they know.

I would call fleetwood parts department 800-322-8216 and ask them for a part #. They were helpful when I need part info for my 94 pace arrow. If all else fails I would go to a camping world and have them help me with a part #. You may need to give them your VIN

Found a new pump, only problem its a little shorter than the original. I assume this will reduce my operating capacity of fuel due to this pump not reaching as deep into the tank. Is that correct?

I went through the same issue with my old 95 Pace Arrow went through 3 before I got the right one. There are differnet pressures on these things so you want to make sure you have the right pump the first time.We pulled my tank out 3 times before finally getting it right I also went by what the store said would work and it the camper would idle but could not give it any gas it would die out.The store said I had a faulty pump so we dropped the tank and replaced it with another of the same type same results would not run.I did some research on net and found the one they gave me was for a shorter chassis and did not have the pressure I needed so had to drop tank again and put the high pressure pump in and it worked like a champ.I would really make sure this was the right pump for your rig because it is a pain in the but to drop that big ole tank.

So the local chevy dealer wants $750 for the sending unit, and another $90 for just the pump. That sounds so out of whack that I don't believe he understood what I was asking for!
