1994 Bounder P30 A/C Problems

I have a 1994 Fleetwood Bounder, P30, 7.4l, 454, and I am having an A/C compressor issue I can't figure out. My RV is in the shop where they have just installed a new compressor, dryer and A/C belt. The compressor will not kick on with the in dash A/C switch. If power is direct to the compressor it will kick on and blow ice cold A/C all day. Is there a fuse or a relay that I am not finding somewhere? I am aware of the fuse panel under the dash and we haven't found a blown fuse anywhere (not even the fuse panel under the hood) I have read there may be a fuse panel on the passenger side under the carpet, but this may be Ford specific I am not sure. The fan works at all speeds, and the air blows out the dash vents when power is supplied to the compressor it functions as it should. Again, system is serviced properly, new compressor and dryer.
Thanks!

The fuse for the compressor should be in the main fuse panel under the dash . There is also a couple of pressure switches which will prevent compressor operation in the event of a low or high pressure situation.

As he said...The pressure switch might be defective. It can be bypassed to diagnose. I don't think it it a fuse. It could be the dash switch or wiring. I am confused about the Ford specific comment, if you have a 454 you have a cheby chassy.

I have just read in forum posts that people have found a panel on the passenger side under the carpet where they have found A/C fuses and such. I believe only the Ford versions have this mystery panel, but I could be wrong.

Do you know the location of the pressure switches?

As I stated in my original post, we can install a "switch" that fixes the problem. I am just hoping to fix this the right way. Can the original control switch in the dash go bad? It seems it's just a push button, but I guess those can go bad?

Since this is a P30 van wiring diagrams should be around all over to give you a clue where the pressure switches are. In this era they had several places. Hi pressure cutoff, low press cutoff. “p30 1994 a/c switches locations” search gave me lots of parts, videos, etc.

There will be a relay under the hood, usually there are three relays very close together. They are the bosch type relays, small black relays mounted left of the steering column. One is for the fuel pump, one for the AC, don't remember what the other one is for. Got rid of my books when I sold the Daybreak.

One switch is located on the high pressure line near the air dryer / condenser. There is another near the evaporator. It is a low temp shutoff to prevent icing . Relays are located under the dash near the fuse panel. I don't think there is a relay for the compressor , but there is one for the aux cooling fan. On some the fan is temp controlled , and sometimes it is wired to run when the A/C is selected.
